After De Hoop op Behoud was launched in 1897, it served long as a sailing shipping vessel on Europe's inland waterways and the Zuyderzee of the day. In the twenties, the ship brought construction materials for the construction of the Beurs van Berlage. After the Second World War, she led the mundane life of a houseboat in an Amsterdam canal. Since 1998 the "Hoop op Behoud" has been sailing again. A comprehensive renovation has restored her original luster, while the necessary adjustments have been made to ensure that we can now offer all the conveniences of a passenger ship. | B | Home port | Day cap. | Night cap. | i |
