The Liberté is a so called dektjalk, very authentic and uncommon in its kind. The ship was built as freighter for Rederij Wagenborg in Delfzijl (1908).
Since 1970 the ship has been serving as a passenger ship and has given a lot of fun and entertainment. On board there are a cosy day room and a very well equipped kitchen, including a dishwasher, oven, freezer and crockery.
In addition to this, there are 16 bunks divided over three cabins, two toilets and bathroom facilities with shower.
A special characteristic of the ship is that it (as the only ship in the charter fleet) also has electrical and therefore quiet and clean propulsion.

Enjoying the wind on the deck with colleagues, family or friends on a character-full old Dutch sailing ship. From the outside the Liberté still looks as in the old days, but inside it has been entirely rebuild to a sociable living room with kitchen and 16 beds. Food and drinks on board can, if required, be entirely arranged for you. To sail aling with the ship you do not need to have sail experience. With the captain you decide the route, within the sailing area of IJsselmeer, Waddensea and the inland waterways. The home port is Muiden, but other departure ports are negotiable.

Everybody on board is insured (inclusive). You can also insure your group against bad wheather (the ship is not going to sail beyond 7 Beaufort).
